10 Free Homemade Shampoos for All Hair Types

Whatever type of hair you have, you can be sure that there are homemade shampoos that will be perfect for you. In this chapter, you’ll learn how to make shampoos that are suitable for all hair types. However, if you’re having trouble with particularly dry hair and the shampoos in this chapter don’t provide the required nourishment, I’ve included a chapter especially for you a little later on! If your hair is dry, simply skip ahead to chapter five, then when your hair recovers, come back to this chapter and give any recipes you like the sound of a try.

Similarly, if your hair is greasy or overly oily, I recommend you start by trying the recipes in chapter six. These recipes include ingredients which will strip away excess oil and grease without over-stimulating your scalp and hair follicles, meaning that your hair should regain its natural balance after just a few washes.

One more point before we start; I’ve created these recipes as I believe the ingredients combine well together and give shampoos which both smell great and leave hair feeling fantastic. However, after you have some experience, don’t be afraid to experiment and adjust the recipes, adding and subtracting ingredients to suit your own particular tastes. Making homemade shampoos is a lot like cooking; experiment and tweak the recipes to suit your preferences.
